I wanted to be a railroad engineer, ended up being an electrician like my dad. My dad was a firefighter and did electrical work on the side. Firefighting wasn't for me.

My dad was a firefighter first lol. That’s a coincidence. He loved it but not the pay. He retired from Norfolk southern a few years ago. Everyone needs a good electrician!

That a crazy coincidence. My dad was a firefighter for 26 years. He has some stories. Like delivering a baby in a toilet, and she named him after my dad and his partner.

I bet he has a lot of cool stories! My husband almost ended up on the same fire dept. They offered it after waiting several months just after he took another job.

He seen some awful stuff too that he would never talk about. I seen him cry once after a fire when he came home. It's a terrible story, it hurts me to think about it. Sorry to be a downer.
