Im just saying, in general...for an ordinary old coin. You pretty much double your money for every one save of pre 1982's. But like you say, some have errors that make them worth thousands! And we never know when the US MINT may end production of the 1 cent coin, as has been talked about for years. I imagine the numismatic price of error coins and the year of the last minted would quickly skyrocket in value
