Credible sources for what? My meme was just as subjective as yours. I'm not spouting any statistics and neither are you. I guess you haven't read many of the comments here because there are plenty of pro-gun advocates complaining that the police are inept. That's their whole reason for wanting to own machine guns in the first place, supposedly, for protection because, as has been stated around here, the police aren't there to protect and serve. So basically, you're calling the left out on their hypocrisy and I'm calling the right out on theirs. Troll away...

No I don't read many comments on social media because comment threads are usually full ill informed people giving their opinions. Read some actual news sources and listen to what the representatives of each side say.

It is the representatives on the Left calling for gun control. Some leftists are actually calling for repeal of the second amendment. At least those leftists are honest because repealing the 2A and confiscating all firearms is the only way to "control guns" and that will take using the police with their guns to round up everyone else's guns. The same police who are supposed to be "bigots."

I think that you are either misrepresenting the pro-2A argument or you are talking to some ignorant right wingers. Because the argument goes like this: if I am in immediate danger and their is not a police officer near by, it is my responsibility to protect myself, my family, and my property and I have the right to use the same amount of force (or weaponry) that is used against me.

If you extrapolated from that "the police are inept, not there to protect and serve, and are just waiting around to put people in body bags" you are incorrect. But if someone actually said those things to you, let me know who it was so I can go and troll them or see if they are just trolling.

If guns ever get outlawed, which probably will never happen but, I would think there would be many ways for the government to obtain them such as buyback programs, law-abiding citizens voluntarily turning them in, etc. The police rounding them up sounds extreme but since ICE has been trolling hospitals and elementary schools picking up immigrants, I guess anything is possible at this point...

As for the ignorant right-wingers on this site, the comments sections are rife with them. I can't remember which memes they were commenting on but I believe it had something to do with the Vegas shootings...

Why would you be in favor of law-abiding citizens willfully disarming themselves? If they are "law-abiding" and murder is against the law, what are you worried about?

I think the better question is: why wouldn't I? If only 30% of people in the US own guns, and the majority of them are white males who grew up around guns, are not college graduates, live in rural areas, and are Republicans from the south, and me being none of those things, why should I care about citizens being disarmed?

Then by your own logic I think the government should confiscate Subaru's. If 30% of the US has a Subaru and the majority of them are female who grew up around cars, majored in liberal arts, live in yuppieville, and are Democrats, and me being none of those, and since cars kill more people than guns in the US, why shouldn't we outlaw Subaru's. That is how dumb your argument sounds to everyone but you.

Please. My argument is dumb? You're likening Subarus to guns. Last I checked, Subarus aren't tools of war. Subarus aren't the object most likely to be used to kill a woman in a domestic dispute. The majority of women who are murdered by their spouse/ex are SHOT. I have no affinity for guns, nor do I see their importance in my life or the lives of anyone I know or have ever known. I have known plenty of people in my life who have owned Subarus, on the other hand. They are practical, fuel efficient, no less, and are more necessary than guns are. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
