Some that I know of, besides the bigger ones, for example Sex Pistols, Opeth, Canibal Corpse, Mastadon, Lamb of God, TYPEO (sorry no line in the middle of the O), Arch Enemy (I saw them in the beginning when they had a male singer),
Six Feet Under, Morbid Angel, Killswitch Engine, and The Misfits. Let me know who you've heard of, and for the ones you haven't heard of may I suggest them to you. :)

That's quite a list. I guess the category of music I'd fall into would generally be rock, including hard rock and heavy metal. That's what I buy, but I've listened to a lot of different genres of music. It's all good and each band has it's own sound and vibe. :)
Have you been practicing? I was thinking and another thing that is cool are bands with two drummers. :)

I was thinking about a two-drummer band.I even wrote some grooves/patterns made specifically for two drummers!And of course I was praciticing!I never stop praciticing,nor as writing song lyrics and making memes :)

I basically hear "Practice,practice,practice" wherever I go,whether is it related to music or not,so I figured it's important.But I think it's even more important to find the style that fits you,and expand your skills and knowledge based around it.Sometimes I even takr the flute I have and play some mrtal riffs on it.I actually wrote some stuff on it(all of it is beginner stuff,since I'm not someone good on the flute).Maybe they will be good riffs,and even some genre-making music?

It's important to find your style and sound, but it's also very important to have the basics down pat, like they come naturally and don't require a second thought. :)
I'm sure you're much better at the flute than you take credit for. But another thing I've seen in bands can be the more instruments you play the more valuable you are. :)
I am sure with all of your practicing you will create great sounds that people will like. Just an idea, have you thought about interrupting a guitar solo for a flute solo? I have no doubt that you plan to make your own genre of music. :)

I remember one Metal song(Blind Guardian - Somewhere Far Beyond) having a bagpipe solo,so flute solo doesn't seem like a bad idea.Although,this is not the flute you probably have in mind.The one I use is Serbian traditional instrument,it has six holes to put your fingers on and "serbian" sound(google Serbian folk music and you'll see what I metal.Not to be confused with that garbage Serbian turbofolk at any cost!).We call it "frula" (pronounced froolah)But I think that soloing will be really difficult,since guitar solos usuallylast for a minute of two,and since flute is air dependant,the solo must end as soon as you're out of breath.And of course I plan to make my own grenre of music.Metal has suffered a lot in the past two decades,and I intend to heal the wounds with my music by making a a brand new genre!

You know Korn uses bagpipes in some of there songs as well. So by using other instruments you can make your own sounds. :)
I will check out the flute you are using, but I'm sure you will find a way to incorporate it into the music you are making. And guitar solos can be more than one minute. How's this for an idea since you seem to be stuck on a one minute guitar solo. You have the one minute guitar solo, put in the flute sounds you want and then go back to another one minute guitar solo. Do you think that might emphasize the flute sound more? :)
