it's harder to get a movie role for 20 million dollars but that doesn't make the actor one of the smartest people in the world either.

It's just a false comparison. Anyone can get a driver's license, you actually have to work hard at college to get a degree. Getting a license is easy. And you can get tickets or even arrested for being a bad driver. Being stupid (with or without a degree) is a badge of honor in this country.

You didn't address the movie actor comparison.

One is a measure of academic competence and the other is acting.

I think people that work to get a degree generally know more at the end than they did at the beginning.
