I read it correctly, allow me to explain.

I've always read this template as Buzz talking to Woody because:

a) that's how it is in the original movie at this scene http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/x-x-everywhere

b) if you look at Woody, he's biting his lip and obviously not currently able to talk.

You could still use this template for your meme simply by making it more clear to the reader which character is speaking. Make the first line something like "Hey Buzz, Andy's mom has a toy...".
