You're not getting the sense of the difference between the two. In the old testament, things were spelled out as commandments. What Jesus said is not inspired by the Torah--it supersedes it by basing actions on love rather than specifically following the letter of the law. Out of love, you would naturally not oppress others.

No it's not an "opinion" but a fact for those who can actually extrapolate information from actual texts. By any standard of analysis the god of the old testament also known as Yahweh, Yod-He-Vau-He, Adonai, Eheieh or Aglah is a violently racist, bigoted, misogynistic, jealous, insecure and genocidal tyrant unworthy of being worshipped by anyone but should be vehemently opposed by all sane and rationale human beings. People who don't get this are simply unable to accurately assimilate, quantify & analyze information.
