My other nonftrd sub i always thought was cuz of a system glitch (things seemed a bit glitchy at the time) or just human error by a mod (i shd have redone it b4 submission instead of just downloading it from my phone). But i was all hey it's cool that 100% ftr rate is weirding me out. Sure it's fine for TammyFaye! Lol :D

At my high school everyone had a cb radio in their car(so redneck)and we would ride around town meeting strangers. Everyone else had a car phone lol

I did not grow up with CB's but I wish. I watched a lot of Dukes of Hazzard. Honestly Cooter the redneck mechanic was an idol growing up. Sad really!

Lmao my dad got his first "bag phone" in early 90s. He thought it was so cool although they'd been around but mostly rich people had them. Oh I love dukes of hazzard. And still love listening to police scanners. Got the app on my tablet.

My first cell phone in 1996 was nicknamed 'The Brick'. It served as a door stopper in it's retirement.

I usually go with Toyotas or Mazdas. I had a 2002 Toyota Rav4, that my aunt bought new back then, and it still ran in great condition, even when I got it, until, unfortunately, it got destroyed in a car accident! But Toyotas last a very long time. If you buy a Toyota, you've got a great buy for many years! Over a decade!

Oh I know they're good. The scrapyard is full of them that still run fine, just got too rusty due to the conditions around here. My first car was a 1980 Tercel.

In 1988, my mom got my dad a cell phone for Christmas. We were driving to grandmas after we opened our gifts and it rang. I answered it and it was a wrong number. The guy on the other end started chatting me up and said "what are you wearing". True story. I was 21 at the time. My parents thought it was pretty funny too.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usenet_newsgroup. Up till about 10 years ago, it was THE social media of the internet. First, it was totally uncensored. There were rules (FAQs) that covered what was and wasn't allowed. It was the place to go if you wanted a job, especially in technology. (I got my best paying job that way) It was the backbone of the internet, before the World Wide Web. In ABIF (google it for the Facebook page) until Coumo in New York threatened ISPs with pandering because he found Child Pornography in about 20 groups out of more than 1/2 a million. It had been a service that was available to users as part of their ISP packages, but eventually, they stopped offering it (even though they didn't cut their prices) We did a lot of graphic manipulations there after a while. I wasn't quite the "Raydog"of ABIF, but every time I left, there was a major welcome back when I returned. Main reason I have so many friends around the world. While we did a lot of graphic manipulations, we kept most of the stuff within the group. My cowboy pic was done by a good friend, Foreman. The man was GOOD. Good enough that I treated his work, often, like I was his editor. I was able to see things he missed. but he was great at it. His wife even agreed to let us do her in the "Messsings" as they were called. Only we weren't allowed to put her face on a naked woman (or man) I got around that by putting her face on a pic of a young woman wearing a tee shirt with HTML code. First line said <TITS> second line said </TITS> and you can imagine what was between those lines. Since I didn't show her bare breasted, she not only approved it, she LOVED it. We also did animated GIFs, and I got my mentor from alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.animated.gifs involved with the group. he was great, even if he was color blind. we had a few folks that were.

More than Interesting. You never knew what was going to be posted or replied to. a few ladies did flash us. One couple made a video of themselves, and she posted it. Definitely NSFW. Our section of the internet only had one basic rule: no child porn. Even then, some did push it. a young lass was shown in a pic with a tee shirt. Over her chest was the phrase "under construction". Not too bad, almost acceptable, but over her belly was the phrase, "Ready to go", with an arrow pointing downward. The poster got reamed good about it.
