I didn't say racism doesn't exist. But the extent to which the left believes it exists on a "systemic level," as they are fond of saying, is grossly exaggerated. The only "racist" laws in place are the ones specifically enacted to help minorities (ditto for other affirmative action programs). So tell me, when is enough, enough? When everyone is at exactly the same economic level? That's the only answer I can surmise because no one actually defines it, and that was my point--there are no goalposts, and even when there are, they just shift them again to complain about something else. But you don't stop to consider that there are other factors involved as to why there is a discrepancy, you simply ascribe all of it being down to "racism," which is a horrible way of dealing with the underlying issues, many of which are not external in nature and therefore won't be solved by outside intervention. Furthermore, you will never, ever get RID of racism, or sexism, or any other kind of "hate" because you can't legislate all the way into people's hearts. So YOU can either wake up or get used to that fact too. The best idea is simply to legislate things for "citizens," not for various groups based on whatever label you want to give them. Those problems should be dealt with at lower levels of government, where specific solutions can be applied depending on what is necessary in the area.
