I've noticed of late that a LOT of commercials are using and abusing songs from the past.

"using and abusing songs" - well put!

I'm a metalhead(and apparently that means I'm against punk,which is not the case with me),but I agree fully!

I'm a metalhead as well and I WAS against punk back in the early '80s but started listening to and adding it to my collection around 2000 or so.

The only person that I really hurt was myself, I missed out on a lot of good music and shows. Live and learn I guess.

Ramones kick ass!Other band I like,and are either punk,or have a lot of punk in their music are Overkill,Anthrax,Soul Coughing and Gang Green

Me too...I've got Overkill & A LOT of Anthrax discs, I'll have to check out the other two, thanks for the tip!
