Many written languages did not originally use punctuation. Ancient Hebrew and Arabic are good examples. Punctuation has been included in those written languages since then. The portions of the Bible were one long, run on sentence.

Don't forget that the longest sentence in the English language is "I do.".

I was scheduled to serve a life sentence, but got time off for bad behavior. (I stood up to my now ex-wife)
