I, as a straight male, would never date a transgendered woman, but I hear no one saying that I should be open to dating them, so I'm not quite sure where you're coming from, here...
It isn't too common of an opinion (yet), but there are some liberals out there who do think this way. A much more common version of this attitude is with race.
