It's actually been several times recently. I get to work, go to imgflip on my computer, answer one comment, and with the very next one I get a delay. I think it might be bad karma for engaging in political discussions on here lately; those I 'offend' may be downvoting a lot of my 'innocent' stuff as well. :P

I saw one of your comments on a masq meme, tried to reply but I think masq deleted that meme after a mod said they have received and acknowledged the feedback.

You mention the downvote campaign and there were no results from that.

I remember that campaign by you and Octavia. I'm curious, have you had any two hour timers or lost the ability to make meme comments since then? I'm under the impression that campaign did have results.

Wow, Masq had an actual mod actually contact her? XD I've never experienced that. You know, Andrew, I haven't had any comment delays of more than about two minutes for a while but I figured that was having to do with calling truces with some notorious right-wingers on here. Maybe the campaign did have results, but since I got nothing but silence from the mods I couldn't have known that. I was primarily advocating for a downvote timer of sorts, but having far fewer timer delays of my own lately maybe you're on to something.

Yes she did, I think she got a little freaked out by it. The mod comments were short lived, 'cause that meme is now deleted.

The mod explained why the timer is there (to prevent abuse and a couple other reasons) and also that they're looking into a couple options to make things better. The other thing was they have received the feedback and no need to further flood their inbox with more feedback about the same issue.

Once in a while I dive into the webcode that makes up an imgflip page. From what I can tell, imgflip has tweaked the user facing code about 60 times since December 2017. Some of those changes were upgrades that are easy to see (rotated text boxes, new caption fonts, caption color selector, etc.) and some are probably more subtle changes that are not so easy to see. I bet there have also been a lot of changes under the hood on the back end, algorithm stuff no one can see but the mods.

So Masq's feedback flood worked? Love it. :D
