Not sure how your situation is, but compare with a cab, or UBER/LYFT, he's pinching pennies. High gas prices are nothing new. They've been around since the 70's. they wouldn't seem as high as they are except that average wages have dropped since then.

Yeah it's my scam to rip off seniors for their last few bucks as I drive them all around town, it's a long scam, but every 20 days or so I break even on the gas money so I got that going for me..

Not saying you are trying to rip them off or anything. But if you really want to go for the scam, stick around long enough to until they start going senile, then convince them to add you to their will.
