A reasonably intelligent adult with reasonably good taste can think it was a decent love story. It doesn't have to be flippin' Shakespeare to be *decent*. :D

True, but I'm not an adult and I know a lot of adults who don't like them. :)

I don't think I ever saw the film. :D

I've heard tons of negative reviews about them, and looking on Amazon the reviews tend to be either four or fives stars or one, so both extremes I guess *shrug* :)

What I have seen of the films (one or two films plus bits and pieces of others if I remember correctly) didn't bowl me over. But didn't think they were terrible. Definitely prefer the books. :D
