Moderation is the key (not claiming I've personally mastered that). A lot of meat eaters don't watch thier diet at all, meaning that they do eat way too much meat (as opposed to small portions ), too much of the wrong kinds of meat (we eat a lot of fatty cuts of beef, as opposed to lean poultry and healthy fish) often heavily processed. Alot of meat eaters don't eat enough fruits and vegetables (especially unprocessed). It is common for a meat eaters diet to be devoid of vegetables (an important source of fiber and nutrients) and merely be a meat and refined bread diet.
It is true that meat should not be the center of your diet, but on the fringe of it.
