That's because stealing memes is almost a requirement to getting to the front page. That's how the top users do it. Then they upvote and comment on each others stolen memes to get more points and keep others off the front page. It IS possible to get the front page, I have done it, but it is difficult because of all the point w**res who will do anything to maintain their status even if it means keeping good, original memes off the front page,
