How can you say that the thief FORCED the clerk to open the safe, which means the clerk opened the damm thing, and then say the thief guessed the code on his own?

Well it didn't say the thief opened the safe, it said the thief guess the code for the safe.
Meaning the thief told the code to the clerk who then opened the safe.
A THIEF ENTERS A SHOP AND THREATENS THE CLERK, FORCING HIM TO OPEN THE SAFE. THE CLERK SAYS, "THE CODE FOR THE SAFE IS DIFFERENT EVERY DAY, AND IF YOU HURT ME YOU'LL NEVER GET THE CODE". BUT THE THIEF MANAGES TO GUESS THE CODE ON HIS OWN; HOW DID HE DO IT?
