How does who is in charge of the legislature affect whether or not more insurance companies want to do business in a particular county?

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. If 997 counties have only one provider that is proof positive that Obama care has already failed.

It would be proof if those counties were in states at bought into the Affordable Care Act. They are not.

They either a) do not implement the Affordable Care Act, or b) implement the Affordable Care Act. It works just fine in states that adopt it.

Tell that to the people in Pinal county, which has only one provider, premiums are sky high and even so the last remaining provider has said they are going to pull out, leaving NO providers in their county.

Proves my point precisely. Arizona's governor and statehouse did everything they could to keep Obamacare from their citizens. This is the result of their actions. Meanwhile, states that embraced the ACA have almost no problem with counties losing their insurers. Thanks!

So...your response is to just outright lie? Arizona accepted the Abomination Act though many did not want to. The Gov caught flak for it. But they did adopt it and providers fled in droves.

UnitedHealth reduced its exposure on the exchanges significantly, cutting its participation from 34 states in 2016 to just three in 2017 — Virginia, Nevada and New York. It plans to drop Obamacare plans in Virginia in 2018. Health insurance providers Aetna and Humana are pushing one step further, completely opting out of Obamacare altogether in 2018.
