My mommy wouldn't let me play violent war games, so I had to settle for reading about them.

They wouldn't let me read the historical weapons manuals in school either :(

It's really useful against the post modernist hordes, since they just pool their general knowledge, and essentially rewrite history into a mush of events, followed by D-Day.

I learned much in the same way, but most of the reading I do is when I'm supposed to be doing research for school. Don't blame me, blame history for being SO DARN INTRIGUING! :P

I spend my Summer going to museums and monuments wherever I can. (By the way, if you ever find yourself in Washington DC, the Spy Museum is fantastic!)

I live in a area where there arent really museums, so...

I live in the Dallas, TX area so there's a bit of history here, but only 2 history museums that I can think of. The only major historical event was JFK's assassination decades back.
