"Clean water" is only defined as not having excessive disease organisms, toxic heavy metals and other contaminants, not how it tastes. Bad tasting water makes for bad tasting coffee.

So I buy Target bottled water which is filtered Wisconsin municipal tap water instead. 10,000+ lakes and streams and apparently they're all dirty AF *shrug*

In some cities even though the water is drinkable, it actually taste horrible!
