CNN is in the wrong here. This is a blatant infringement on the First Amendment and threatening a U. S. citizen is wrong and should be punishable. And CNN will be completely dead by the end of the year of they continue to do things like this, threatening citizens with blackmail.

I'm not sure to what lengths they went, it sounds like they pieced together the information that the user posted publicly, so anyone reasonably could have figured it out.  But they didn't name him, however holding it over his head is really crossing the line.  CNN is not the Internet police!

I'm nothing if not a free speech extremist, but freedom of speech is not freedom from repercussions. Speak your mind but be ready to back it up or you can be humiliated. I'm just curious as to what the above reactions would be should it have been someone who made a doctored video of Trump getting beat?
