Personally I like waking up to CDs, no talking, no commercials. Korn, Stone Sour, Avenged Sevenfold, and Slipknot are all good wake up music. Never buzzers... :)
All my music was on vinyl. If i wanted random I had to get up and move the arm lol.
My first 2 albums I owned I traded my baseball glove for. AC/DC For Those About To Rock and Dirty Deeds. The Wall I've listen to a thousand times also, but mainly in film form!
My first recordings were onto 8 track, ah the good old days.
Kids will never understand the struggles of waiting by the radio all day for your favorite song to start so you could record it, and missing the first 5 seconds of the song in doing so lol
Lol true . I to grew up with radio being our only mediem and the golden age of a real mix tape :) and then this phenomenon called music video .in stereo :) wow how times have changed .

So the dj says the song i want is coming up. I hit record at the end of each commercial break plus false starts. Have to keep winding back to the end of the last song recorded. Oh yeah.
Lol true. I used to have one tape recording all the time and then edit it to another tape so i could get the song :)
I had a high speed dubbing system and quickly learnt how to copy tapes from live sources ,evan the t.v :) those were the days.
