Back in the 90's sometime, the Utah Jazz did something similar so I believe John Stockton could get his triple double. The game was about 10 seconds away from being over and they were up double digits, I believe, and they should have just dribbled out the ball, but instead he went down the floor, along with Karl Malone, and Stockton passed the ball to Malone so he could get a layup and Stockton gets his 10th assist for his triple double. It was vile.
