Well, I mean, people did during the Crusades. Remember that? Christianity did the same thing ISIS is doing now, just on a lot larger scale.

You have a very warped view of history, isis has a world wide network and was a Catholic vs Muslim conflict. Additionally, the crusades were limited in scale and spread over generations. You might as well have compared a corvette with a covered wagon and claimed they both carry people. While some limited truth is found in the logic the comparison itself is invalid.
