Seriously, he really never did, whereas some of the other bands that you mentioned even went so far as to have "farewell" tours (yes, I'm looking at you...EAGLES). I hate bands that do that shit. I just read that Motley Crue signed a legally binding document before they did their farewell tour that they would never again play as Motley Crue. That's awesome! Of course, the loophole is, they can just play under a different name, but I admire the idea.

Fleetwood Mac and Deep Purple never stopped either , they both have so many different people who have been in the bands they may never stop . There have been so many different people in Yes , they're not only touring but 2 different versions are currently touring

Right? Revolving doors in bands are hilarious as well. The situation in YES is similar to Queensryche, different members of the band think that they own the name, they can't straighten it out...not even in court...so they have two or more versions of the same band name...they all win, the fans lose.

Back to the revolving door of band members, KISS has it made...they can put anyone under the makeup and it's still KISS...LOL. Although, I don't think I'd see them if it weren't Simmons and Stanley at a minimum. They're another band that did a "farewell" tour 20+ years ago, and they're still out there.

With Yes , Chris Squire legally owned the name , when he passed away earlier this year (R.I.P.) all the other members can now tour under the name .

Whenever I see a reference to Alice Cooper I can't resist showing this receipt. After a show last fall we stopped for a snack and our number was 666. He's still awesome, by the way.

This picture reminds me of when I took my kids to see KISS. The kids were 10 - 16 and we all went in makeup. Went to Burger King before the show and IHOP after. Even got into a minor fender bender just outside the venue.
