Obesity is largely caused by habits that can be changed. To my knowledge, it is a lot more difficult to control going bald. So I would think the emotional damage of being called bald would be worse than that of being called fat.

Yes, likely more difficult to prevent baldness but in my experience, a lot more people, and society in general, are pretty hateful toward overweight people. I had a fiend who, before her lap and surgery, would get comments thrown at her while just at the grocery store. It happened all through school and even as an adult. People can be so outwardly, and unprovokedly cruel. It's really quite amazing. While I'm sure going bald hurts a man's ego, I doubt the world at large is as cruel about it.

You can say that again! I have seen people make fun of others for being really big. But I have also heard people say they are not going to make fun of fat people because they have done it before, and then they gained some pounds. I will say there is a difference with telling people they need to lose some weight as opposed to being straight up mean to them. I know several people who died relatively young and they was quite obese. And I know some people with health problems due to their obesity. Someone I know said the doctor said his wife needs to lose weight. His wife is on oxygen and there really isn't much the doctors can do to help. Now I don't know if the doctor said it nicely or how he said it, but I dare say it would probably help.

Didn't aim to ramble so much about health vs rudeness. People can be rude about anything. I was made fun of quite harshly freshman year for how I talked. After that I started working out and I began learning how to fight. If he said it again I was going to let him have it. But it never came to that, I think I got the bluff on him. I know how rude some punks can be. But sometimes people bring it on themselves, like Forceful was talking about in his meme. People can dish it out but then they can't take it when they are given a taste of their own medicine.

Yes, that was the reason behind my double standard meme. It's ok if women makes fun of men but it's wrong if men makes fun of women. I was just throwing out my opinion that baldness might be more sensitive than obesity. But that is just opinion.
