Yeah, it would be nice if it worked that way, but it doesn't. The swastika will forever be associated with Nazi Germany, Adolf Hitler, death camps, and The Final Solution. And justice that, the Stars and Bars will forever be associated with the American Civil War, the Confederacy, and slavery. Those who wish it to change back can't control that. Its meaning will always be determined by those outside, looking in.
