Couple of months ago I posted on a meme that had only 2 upvotes, including mine.
The first comment said only "lol" - no meme, just "lol"
That "lol" got 4 upvotes! FOUR!!! And the OP's meme only got 2!!! TWO!!!
Why? Because upvotes are soooooo valuable that folks are reluctant to give them out, except for a friend.
Also, some folks use alt accounts and upvote themselves.
That's also why some of the front pagers make no sense as to how they got there but are there.
