Seems like some smarts there. I hate it when a favorite user deletes their account. If I decided to take a lengthy break (not likely) I wouldn't delete. I couldn't imagine getting rid of all that material I worked on. :P
You never know when or why imgflip might crash or get shutdown. If you want to backup your meme images, I suggest using clinkster's utility mentioned in the comments here imgflip.com/i/1mhvus I have it installed and my AV says it's clean.
I meme from work so I wouldn't be able install anything, but thanks for the advice. If I ever get my home computer back up I might do so there. I'm praying it won't crash or shutdown, I've too much invested in this damn place.
