OK, here's my test report. My AV (Avast) had never or rarely seen FlipBack.exe before, so it locked it upon execution and the file was sent to their site for testing. Came back clean about an hour later and I was then able to run it without their popup warning. Looks like it downloaded all my featured creations. I'm a happy customer, thank you very much clinkster for sharing this utility!
If you build another version, could you easily add radio button options to download unfeatured and/or unsubmitted creations?

I did consider it (to optionally download unfeatured) but I am also concerned about overhead on imgflip resources. Imgflip limits users to 3 memes a day, but pretty much unlimited comments, So users with 100 memes *might* have 2000 creations. I don't want to be in Dylan's doghouse.

When the old comment Is just right | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
Ive reused old comments before, having them in a folder would be great. Since the utility checks, maybe that could be an option for imgflip pro users, I bet Dylan would be cool with that.

That is a good point, maybe it would be a nice bonus and also entice users to go Pro.

So...A couple questions. Did you use https://api.imgflip.com or hubot script, contact? general@imgflip with notice or questions? Thinking about making an Android app that expands on your idea. One of the problems on my phone is organizing all my png and jpgs, an app could help better organize my memes comments, templates. One could pick their own popular templates, unlimited custom templates. Maybe a little ad revenue for the developers. Want to help test drive or be in on developing?

OK except about the revenue part... that could be a legal issue. I don't know anything about Android development, I've played around with iOS before. Xamarin (sp?) has an environment that can build a .net app for both iOS and Android (code once, deploy to both). I was going to expand on my Windows desktop app but I'm not sure I'll ever get around to it... put it as a system tray icon, provide notifications, follow other memers, mentions (if a meme/comment mentions your username), maybe a better search (full-text) on memes and comments, private messaging, etc. The API that is exposed is quite limited, but if that's all you need in terms of functionality, then it makes sense to use it. I used "screen scraping" techniques to access the list of users own memes to back up.

Now I'm thinking of a starting with a chrome extension. Ever make one of those?

No but that would sound pretty cool...
