It'll actually cover several memes, and I'm working on a meme stream for new users that gives the tips and tricks. The hard part, really, is to come up with decent memes. you have that down. Social aspect? You're on the right track by answering and upvoting your memes.
Now commenting on other user memes. Try to be positive in your comments. NEVER resort to name calling, as that is a TOS violation that can result in throttling your commenting ability or a decrease in number of memes you can submit. (more on that later on) Commenting ability, though, is important. You'll discover when commenting on other memes that, if you try to make multiple replies to the comments, you'll get a time out timer ("You're commenting a lot. please wait ### seconds before submitting another comment"} You can reply as often as you like on your own memes, but other peoples, only one comment about every three minutes. If you go negative by trolling (or fall for the trolling for trolls posts) and your commenting ability is throttled, you may have to wait upwards of 15 minutes or more before you can comment again. I've seen people that had to wait three hours before they could comment again because they were such trolls. One reason why I keep my comments mostly positive. Like I did with you, I critiqued your memes. They were good. I mentioned one I didn't upvote, but put it as a matter of taste. But I also go the other way, especially when someone posts a Y U No Upvote My Memes? post. We get that a few times a month, and I reply accordingly. They rarely have memes worth upvoting, and I tell them that (I use the reverse Y U No template that asks "Y U No Post Memes Worth Upvoting") Usually, by the time I see them, they've already posted memes begging for upvotes without posting anything entertaining. They usually have zero comments as well. Some get angry. Some get upset. One gentleman I critiqued came back with a comment about and just how do I do this question and I shocked him by giving him an answer. Not a smart ass answer, but a fairly complete answer that he did not expect. It must have worked, because his next submission (a GIF, not a meme) made page one. He's only been there a couple times since, but he does well when posting.
Just glanced at your Profile again. when you hit 10K, which could be in early next week, have a thanks meme to say that. 10K, 50K, 100K, 250K, 500K, and then every million after should be standard thanks.
