Yeah, the Racist aspect consistently reared it's head. Just like the Kenyan citizenship. His opposition lied so much that you couldn't believe them. I mean, really, if he were as bad as they said he was, then why lie?
Well, now the left has had 8 years to study and look at how the right handled an elected president, one overwhelmingly elected in both popular and electoral college votes. Trump can only expect that kind of support from the right that the right showed Obama.
I was watching the Comey testimony this morning at my daughter's. This is just the start. I lived through the Watergate Era and the Clinton impeachment. I would say that by 2018, we may be getting used to saying President Pence.
That Trump was overwhelming selected as the GOP candidate tells that the country is tired of business as usual in DC. So far, though, he has done everything he can to alienate much of the world against this country. While those that voted for him had the right idea, I believe they chose the wrong man. I don't expect him to serve a full term. One reason why you don't see me even doing a covfefe meme here. I'm waiting it out. Trump would get impeached, Pence would become president with someone like Cruz, or more likely, Ryan placed as Veep. But should that happen, you can expect a Democrat in the White House after the 2020 election. Any president brought up for impeachment has hurt their party in the following presidential election. Johnson was one vote short of impeachment, but the GOP took the following election. Nixon was up for impeachment hearings before he resigned, and Carter walked away with the election with 75% of registered voters being Democrat. (note: normally, the normal ratio of registered voters runs about 30% Dem, 22% GOP, balance split among 3rd Party and indies) and then when Clinton was impeached, the country elected GW Bush.
The only way that the democrats could lose the White House in 2020 should Trump be impeached would be the same way that they put Trump into office: run Hillary.
