I could refer to the days as Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, ect. I could also just name them after animals. However there is more of a difference in what name I call each day than there is for someone to say it is the year 2017 AD (translated to The Year Of Our Lord) when they don't believe the Lord exists.

You mean the Gregorian calendar which is merely a refinement of the Julian calendar which predates Christianity? And what relevance does that have? We don't have a choice which calendar to use, nor does a calendar have any bearing on belief.

BC and AD are based off of Christianity (Before Christ and anno Domini or some will reference to being After Death). If the scientific community is against God and religion as a means for answering anything, then instead of this being the year 2017, shouldn't it be the year 4,583,XXX for however old they want to say the Earth is?

As I said before, it was the Christians who applied different terminology to an already extant calendar. Like every other Chirsto festival/date they picked someone else's. We also don't use BC and AD anymore ;) it's BCE and CE (before common era, and common era). Science is ahead of you.

People still use BC and AD. It was only in the late 20th century in which BCE and CE started for those who want to do away with God. If science was ahead of me in all of this, they would have created their own calendar completely instead of using the exact same one and only changing the notation. If the planet was formed 13 billion years ago, or whatever they say it is now, then the scientific calendar should reflect that.
