Most likely yeah, I somehow found 2 women who are both capable of never seeing their kids. But I consider that lucky, because I would go nuts if all I saw of my kids was as much as they see them.

Life is good, my daughter is 16 now her mom took off when she was 2. It took a long time but she appreciates me and the fact I let her figure her mother out on her own without bad mouthing her etc etc. Now my son is only 5, his mom recently started stepping up to at least a couple times a week which is much better than months at a time without even a phone call. He tends to blame me for her not being around much, but luckily I have been through it before so I know in time he will appreciate me for what I do for him. I'm a lucky guy with great kids, I just have horrible luck with women, I'm great at relationships for about 3 months lmao.

I have not talked to my ream father in 15 years... I saw him once when I was ten and then he bailed.

I don't get how people can do that...

It has been really rough but you know, I always find away to make it through the day without focusing on it.

Well, from what I've seen from you, he is the one missing out on knowing a really cool person. Even if he can't handle fatherhood, he is losing a lot by not even being a friend. Don't believe for a second it is anything but him missing out. I know it has to suck, but if he is capable of acting like that then you are not missing out on near as much as he is.

Too be honest he really never had impact on my life, last I hear about 3 years back he was dead. It hurts but at the same time it does not, since you know he was never truly their for me.

I am truly sorry my friend, it's really cool that you have the right perspective about it though. You can't let something like that have a negative impact on your life. Simple fact of the matter is you deserved better from your father. Hopefully one day you have some kids and they will be lucky enough to have a strong man for a father even though you didn't.
Nothing matters more than family, and if your father wasn't smart enough to figure that out it is not your fault. It has always bugged me when people treat me like I'm special because I'm a single father that puts his kids first. I'm not special that's how it's supposed to be. I believe it takes a special kind of person to not know their kids, not a good kind of special either.
My son is different from most kids but I get him because he is like me. Some things only a parent can understand about their children. You've turned out to be a decent guy despite your father not being around, that just proves it's your father that missed out not you. I've learned as much from being a dad as my kids have from me. I'd be a lot less of a man without them, and that's your dad without you, a lot less of the man he could have been ;)

My name is kind of a mash up of a couple of things, I've always been a fan of a Yin Yang, two sides to everything, I have always tried to keep an open mind and see things from multiple perspectives. So it's a mix between a Yin Yang and my real name. I had no idea when I started here that anybody would ever care what my name meant lol. I didn't really put much thought into it at the time ;)
