I think that he's actually the worst person here. When it comes to funny stuff. I didn't smile, laugh, or grin at any of his.

Everyone has their own sense of humour. I will usually upvote anyone's meme that I find funny, but I will also upvote memes that I comment on (most of the time) and I will usually check the memes of users who comment on my memes and see if I can comment on their memes. Some people might get a lucky front pager without being involved in the "community" but it is easier to get more upvotes on your memes if you actively comment on other users' memes.

Memes that other users can relate to do well. One of the best posts I did, that stayed on page one the longest, was https://i.imgflip.com/1kj6uf.gif It struck a chord with a lot of the meme makers here because so many crappy memes were being posted at the time. The night I made this one, I had gone through five pages of posts and only found one worth upvoting, and that was a repost. I upvoted and commented that it was a repost but didn't flame the poster. Hell, I praised him for at least putting something decent up. It only made it to page two, with a load of comments and upvotes, with only one dissenting voice, crying out like a little baby that it was a repost. It happens. But both times, my meme and his, in the long run, reflected the mood of the users.
