Too many good memes go unnoticed

my problem is that if someone responds and i can't think of a good comment, i might just upvote instead. I try to comment to each person who is kind enough to comment on my memes. When I first started out, however, someone made a stupid comment about people who did that, so i backed off for awhile.

I think people basically agree with me, but they don't necessarily know how to go about viewing others' pages. That's all I can figure

Yeah, I either go to the profiles of people I know to look at theirs or hit the hot memes. I wouldn't know how to do it myself but it would be nice if there were a page listing template links or maybe a page with newest users trying to break in. Right now I kind of happen upon memes I like by accident.

I cannot TELL you how many memes I have replied to with some of my best wit, with nary a response to mention! Seriously, it's frustrating

Not to sound like an old man, but some of the newer members don't seem to get the idea of responding to comments. I've seen memes make the front page with x number of views and upvotes and the originator doesn't respond to the comments. But generally I think that might have to do with those not understanding how it works. You create, and then you go look at others' creations and comment. Some don't care, some don't get it. It might just be a generational shift. Heck, and I've only been on here about a year and a half. :P

Seriously though, sometimes it's just a matter of a Reddit user making a meme for Facebook, and it winds up over here on IMGFlip. If that's the case, then the Reddit user won't even know it's been upvoted and commented on

I just stick to imgflip. All that other stuff just confuses me.

JK. I'm doing my part, and it's helping. I've had something on page one everyday for over a week and I've been commenting and replying to comments like gang busters.

That's me, I always mean to read my book (kindle paper white) but wind up looking at memes till I pass out with the lights on and the phone on the floor.

Fortunately, I've learned when to say when in regards to Meme viewing/replying. But I do read in bed before sleep. It really helps to knock me out shortly thereafter. i read the Holy Writings, which helps me not to have nightmares. In the 80's I was reading Stephen King books before bed. DUMB! lol

I love reading all the newly posted memes and getting in comments on them, some of the funniest memes are the ones that never make it close to the front page.

I agree, but a lot of them are confusing because they're personal. Meaning people use this site to make a meme for another site, such as Facebook. A popular thing is the "Happy birthday, So and So" meme
