There are probably several definitions of troll, but the most common; it any one user who maliciously attack another user for the sole purpose of disruption, whether directly or through the use of alternate accounts. Disruption can come in the form of harassing comments, downvoting featured submissions back to submission, posting false comments and images about other users, and the like.
