Don't understand why there aren't more restrictions on what you can buy with food stamps.

True story (and this was over 30 years ago, but I'm sure that it's still true)...I worked in the seafood department of a grocery store in the hood.

First week of the month, all we sold was shrimp, lobster, and crab legs. Last week of the month, it was all carp, buffalo, and sheephead (trash fish). It was so pathetic!

I picked up a receipt in the parking lot one time that had over $100 in steak and crab legs paid for with EBT. Smh. I bet they wouldn't be buying that if it were coming out of their bank account.
