After all the pleading for a DOWNVOTE button over at Facebook, I doubt very much that IMGFlip will remove their DV button

I agree with Beckett437, while adding that I have not seen the downvote button abused to any degree for almost a year. If you can prove me wrong, then 1) I will be surprised, and 2) instead of trying to get rid of a feature, you should try to find the source of the problem. There usually is a way to track down the 'trolls' behind the downvote.
The downvote button is designed to remove actively bad charts, memes, or gifs by popular consensus. Removing it would remove the popular opinion's ability to remove bad content from the site.

But , if there is a way to prevent alt-using trolls from abusing it , please tell me . I have been trolled so bad I have memes that will never feature , they are stuck in submitted oblivion .

I don't know about anything at this current time. Try sharing links in comments along with explaining why you are trying to share them (i.e. the 'trolls'). Maybe you can salvage them.

report them then. If you can get rid of one alt, then its better for the rest of us. Sure it doesn't solve the whole problem, but it will help.
