Why do we have two of almost everything?

Two balls, One banana?

Two eyes
Two ears
Two nipples
Two arms
Two legs
Two nostrils
Two lungs
Two kidneys

Many years ago a young lady touched mine for the first time and asked, "Where's the other one?" She did think that guys had three. At that point I knew she was a virgin and within three years we were married.
