Stewart is retired as of this year. He's had co-ownership of Stewart-Haas racing for a few years and that suits him well. He hasn't raced the Home Depot car for about ten years, he was racing other sponsors for his own team for a while. I'm sure he's happy; he won three championships and a ton of races, although he hadn't been that competitive the last couple seasons. More than you really need to know, eh? :)

Unfortunately, yeah. Probably contributed to his somewhat early retirement. The guy who got hit made the mistake of coming down a slick mud track - Stewart often raced small races in his off-hours - to yell at Tony after he had been run off the track - common and accepted in racing - in seeming sudden ignorance of these mud cars back ends tailing out when making corners. Sympathy to the man's family, but it was stupid.
