Cool :) will look it up . I had the privilege of seeing big cats close and there is a almighty power to their prenash and aire that amazes me and to be honust scares me alittle too :)

I know what you mean there .. Al Oeming was a friend of mine, got to know him when he came to my town in 1987. My ex-spouse was a radio personality then. During the hour-long interview, I snuggled up with his 110-pound female cheetah, named Tawana and she purred the whole time. Cheetah purr LOUD. She could be heard throughout the interview.

Later, when Al was doing a show at a local school gym, Tawana bounced up and started purring and chirping when I entered the gym. She didn't stop until Al asked me to come over and say hello :-) guess I made a friend there :-) but it was always in the back of my mind that her 3-inch canines could literally turn me into cat food in a split second! and she could run a helluva lot faster than me :-)

I suddenly have alot of respect for the vetenay community.
And made a big donation unfortunately to dry cleaning occupation.
Those are the real heros :)

When i was a child i used to fly radio control planes at an airfield next to a national reserve and .well long story short a plane went over this fence and i)dug under the fence determined to retrieve so after an hour a game ranger found me and reminded me where i was and the fact i was being stalked by cheetahs.
Im not joking
they now have a exibit where the public can feed and pet big game cats.
The feeling of a lion roar in ones face rattles your rib cage.
It is the must do if any bucket list :)

(clouded leopard here -- extremely rare) Years ago, when my ex and me and 2 kiddies visited a wildlife park, we came across a Siberian Tiger exhibit. Beautiful cats, well taken care of, one a large male. The male came over to me and the kids, checked us out, then proceeded to my ex .. turned around ..

.... and let him have it. Priceless!!!!! I roared, of course, but boy did he STINK!!!!! peeeee-yoooooooo!!

I grew up in a shitty little country town in a rural setting.
I was lucky to have alot of influences from many lovely people who taught me many things.
Having said that i have seen some bad shit to.
Im Just an average ozzie :)

I remember you saying about Aussie in the past, but when you said about the cats in the reserve, I thought maybe you were talking growing up in Africa, but I see you meant it was an exhibit,,,

O ok. Yep from down under.
And there is this national zoological park near my hometown that has alot of African animals in it. It is truly an amazing place . A huge grass land savanna and it is now open to the public. Thay have breeding programs there for big cats. Giraffes hippos and all sorts of endangered species. But as a kid we used to wander around in the park like our own private zoo.
No fear back then :)

That's awesome. We got the Bronx Zoo here, pretty big, some 'natural' looking enclosures, but basically big cages with thousands of people gawking and yapping at the poor critters.
Plus no sneeking round that one,,,
They do breed some, but breed more at some island off of South Carolina or something were the public can't go.
