Usually people get the CCDW license for guns. I got mine for my SR9c. But I am such a lousy shot that I think I would fare better with what I know in unarmed combat. Out of 10 shots at roughly 30 feet away I hit a 16.9 FL OZ water bottle once. And that was after I took one step forward! And since I hardly ever pack the gun around, that will be my reply to anyone if they ask why I got a CCDW license.

Not that I am good at martial arts. I consider myself a novice. I have some understanding of the basic concepts and I still have much to learn before I consider myself dangerous. Still I like believing it is possible. I just came up with the hands in pocket idea for some laughs.

I worked with a guy in Alaska that repeated the "hands in pocket" joke incessantly, so when I saw "hands in my pockets" I couldn't resist. No doubt more for my entertainment than yours.
