2nd largest country in the world. I can name almost all 50 states without looking at a map, alphabetically, but we're made of igloos and need the US to survive. F**kem, we know who we are.
US has so many states because it supports tourism. Only six state's spoons (or shotglasses, or s&p shakers, quarters, whatever,) don't make for a very swanky collection, now do they?
