Well, nothing that couldn't be handled. Oldest girl tried the "I hate you" routine back in Jr Hi. Of all places, I got instruction from an old Mad Magazine. Dave Berg Lighter Side had a similar incident, teen daughter yells to dad she hates him. Dad calmly tells her that's okay, cause he has enough love for the both of them. Only thing I added was a hug and a kiss on the forehead. Since adulthood, she's seen that this crazy old man was far wiser than she gave him credit for being. Her boys adore me, thanks to bonding with them young. She never could figure out how I was able to quiet crying babies, or get them to nap when they were cranky. I have that effect with most babies.
