Windows update feature is so slow

Awesome! Do you have the old Windows?

Yes, this is my photo. I was actually hoping to use it as an upgrade from my Windows XP computer, but I don't like how slow it is, so I reverted back. I actually started that update when I went to bed, and it it was still updating when I woke up the next morning. about update 47 I think it was. I am probably going to upgrade to Windows 7 soon. First I have to either get more memory, or a whole new computer, because I don't have enough memory to smoothly run Windows 7.

Get windows 10 next!

I kinda tried out Windows 10, but I didn't like it. I didn't like the taskbar, sounds, sound variety, notification bar, etc. If I get a newer version of Windows, it will be 8 or 8.1 unless I need Win 10 for programs' compatibility. Right now, I do just fine on my Windows XP PC, where the only compatibility issue is google chrome. But I use firefox anyways so that doesn't matter. :)

I don't use Firefox or edge, I only use chrome. But you probably will need 10 for some programs to work. If you are a gamer (like me) than certain games need higher version of Windows

I guess, but Windows 7 doesn't lose Microsoft support until 2020, and that is probably when most programs will end up losing support for it too, because Windows 7 is still very popular. I still play Minecraft on Windows XP, but war games will require something newer. I can't even play Tanki, a simple battle game where you drive around destroying tanks and being destroyed more often. Of course, that may be because my Windows XP is 32-bit. It might work ok on 64-bit XP, work decently on 32-bit 7 and up, and should work excellent on 64-bit anything else.

Anyways, I don't want Windows 10 until that is what I absolutely need in order to do anything.

I've been running 7x64 since xp was incompatible with good games. When I'm forced to upgrade again I'm learning and switching to linux.
