Datsun was the original name of the company back in the 1930s. The Datsun brand was still around even after I became an adult. By then, the company was known as Nissan, but they phased out the Datsun name around 1984. The consensus of the critics was that the now Nissan's were still the same POSs as the Datsun, just with a different name.
