Admittedly this has a LOT of VERY distorted stereotypes! But ... hey ... IT'S just A DARK HUMOR MEME, GUYS!
Hinduism and Buddhism, which is derived from Hinduism, believe in "samsara", the "cycle of birth, death and rebirth", where a SPIRIT goes into a new-born body and lives a life. That spirit develops a "spiritual track record" called karma, depending on how it lived that life, i.e., good or evil.
When that body dies, the spirit goes into a new body. "Reincarnation" literally means "going into flesh again". The circumstances in the new body depend on the track record of the previous LIVES. So if someone is born poor, sick, winds up being persecuted, etc., it's because in past lives they did bad things.
A spirit won't necessarily be reincarnated into a human--so an evil person could be reincarnated as a dog or a snake or a spider. Or a cow.
So although many Hindus believe ALL living things are "sacred" it's NOT that they think cows are gods.
