I prefer shorter memes.

If they were creative, like that "That would be great" one with the "abuse of the copy machine", then I can laugh (or at least smile) about them.

On the other side it is relatively nerve-racking when you return to imgflip.com and you have every single time to scroll an eternity to go past that very long meme in order to look at other ones.

Let's hope no one has the "bright" idea about a "Long Meme Week" theme

Yea it does get annoying needing to scroll thru it each time. Maybe if they were to limit the size of the image to be just a preview like on the profile page, and the show the whole thing when you click on it, that might help out. Or shrink it down to fit within a certain box size and allow you to show full size if you want.
